The show will feature over 100 artists and approximately 200 pieces of artwork created specifically for this show! Artwork must contain 75% black or 75% white. It’s a favorite among artists to challenge their creativity.

We will begin by choosing the best photo reference and go through all of the steps to create a finished artwork. We will also look at ways to elevate your portrait and transcend the original reference with texture, emotion, and personalized touches. This course includes live Zoom class sessions.

Imagined Monuments provide a select group of artists the opportunity to envision tributes to historical figures or actions that have impacted the Louisville community. It focuses on parts of our population that have not always been well represented in public art.
